Clyde

Darling Clyde was originally rescued by The Ark three years ago. His adoptive family has suffered from economic hardship and could no longer care for Clyde. He is a terrier mix, about seven years old, and quite the gentleman. He is good with people and also dogs, once he gets to know them. He needs some consistent training on leash, and does have some medical issues that will need continued care. He is currently in foster care, but would love to be his own loving forever home as soon as possible. Clyde is neutered and current on vaccines.

Tinkerbelle

Darling Tink lost the only home she has ever known when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. This beautiful ragdoll/Siamese mix is about five years old with declawed front paws. She is understandable distressed and slow to trust, but she will be very affectionate with a patient and knowledgeable cat owner. Determined to give this girl a second chance, we welcomed her aboard The Ark. She is ready for a forever family to discover her charms and keep her safe. Tinkerbelle is current on shots an viral negative.

Dusty

This nine year old British Shorthair came to The Ark because her owner had to go to assisted living and couldn’t bring her. She is a sweet girl, very gentle and shy, understandably a little depressed because she has lost the only home she has ever known. She is spayed and current on vaccines, viral negative.

Kora

is eight years old and found herself at the OC County Shelter when her family divorced. She lived with small children, is well mannered, house trained and gets on well with other dogs. Due to no fault of her own, it was the end for Kora if The Ark hadn’t rescued her. Kora can be seen on her very own video.

Yuki

This pretty girl has lost the only home she has ever known. Her family is expecting another baby and has no time to give to Yuki. She is about seven years old and very affectionate, loves to be with people. She has never been with other cats but is used to dogs in the home. She is waiting for her forever family to find her and to never, never be abandoned again. Yuki is spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines and viral negative.

Joy

This little girl is approximately one year old and was found with her four babies (Kris Kringle, Snowflake, Noel and Frosty) at Christmas time. Joy was quite ill when she arrived and needed time to regain her strength. Now healthy and happy, she is ready for a quiet home. She is very gentle, and likes people of all ages, but would prefer to be an only cat. She does not mind polite dogs. She is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccines and viral negative.

Kris Kringle

Because mom Joy was too ill to take care of him, Kris Kringle has been in a foster home getting bottle fed and lots of love and play time. As the runt of the litter, this little guy has fought hard to survive. He was very tiny and could not eat on his own. With love, encouragement and lots of midnight feedings, this little one now runs with his siblings and plays like there is no tomorrow. He is now three months old, and will soon be old enough to be neutered and ready for his forever home. Kris is current on vaccines and viral negative.

Snowflake

Handsome black and white snowflake has been in a foster home getting bottle fed and lots of love and play time. He has an adventurous spirit and has been nicknamed “Bond”, and in James, because he knows no fear. He is now three months old, and will soon be old enough to be neutered and ready for his forever home. Snowflake is current on vaccines and viral negative.

Noel

A darling little girl, another of Joy’s babies, Noel has been in a foster home getting bottle fed and lots of love and play time. She is a feisty little girl that can hold her own against her brothers. She is now three months old, and will soon be old enough to be spayed and ready for her forever home. Noel is current on vaccines and viral negative.

Jack

Three month old orange tabby boy found in the engine of a car, trying desperately to stay warm! He is so handsome, but doesn’t want to stop playing long enough to have his picture taken. Full of fun and energy, this little guy will keep you entertained. He is good with other cats, but quite fearful of dogs. He will soon be old enough to be neutered and then ready to go to his forever home.

Elvira

This maine coon beauty has suffered a tough life. About seven years old, she was rescued from the OC County Shelter where she was suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection, and had been passed over by the public and all other rescue groups and was scheduled for euthanasia. The Ark was ElVira’s last hope. Happily, she has fully recovered, and is ready for her forever home. She takes her time in learning to trust, but will be very affectionate with a knowledgeable and patient owner. She is front declawed, spayed, current on vaccines and viral negative.

Poppy & Pixie

These darling girls were found wandering the streets of San Juan Capistrano. We believe is Poppy is Mom to Pixie. Poppy is about 5 years old, 20 pounds and Pixie is about 3 years old, only 15 pounds. These girls just love each other and look for one another. Both girls are cuddlers and want only to snuggle next to a human. They walk well on a leash so long as they are together. When found their coats were horribly matted. With new hairdos, these girls are looking for their chance at a forever home together. Both girls are spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on their vaccines.

Tuna

Baby Tuna was found in the back yard of a local residence. Alone and hungry, he cried until a Good Samaritan brought him food. His favorite was tuna, thus the name. He is quite unsure of his new surroundings as he was born outside and that is all he knows. With some time, he will be a great companion. Too scared to have his picture taken yet, he will get lots of attention and will learn that humans can do more good things than just bring tuna.

Butch

a handsome “Heinz 57” mix, was taken in by The Ark in December, 2010, when his owners could no longer care for him. Now about 3 years old, Butch has spend over half of his life waiting for a forever home. Butch has been through a rigorous training program, learning to become a polite gentleman and a true companion dog. He has always loved people he knows, and now because of his training he has learned to trust new people. He especially likes the ladies. He enjoys long walks and playing with other dogs. Butch is looking for someone to change is life, but he may end up making the difference in yours! He is neutered and up to date on his shots.

Reeses

is a 6 year old Tortise Shell (Torti) beauty. Named for her peanut butter & chocolate coat, she came to The Ark when her owners suffered a hardship and could no longer care for her. Reeses is very affectionate, and likes gentle children. She prefers to be an only pet. She is spayed and has her shots.

Lucky

was turned in with his buddies Nelly and Joey. Their human family lost their home and had nowhere to turn to save their beloved pets. Lucky is about 11 years old, a real gentleman, who looks like a Chihuahua/Doxie mix. He is just a love and wants to be with people and likes to be around other dogs. He doesn’t understand where his family has gone, and just wants to be loved and feel secure. Neutered and current on shots.

Jezabelle

is an 18 month old beauty. A tabby with gorgeous green eyes, she is a spirited little gal. She loves to play and has plenty of energy to spend hours chasing a feather toy. She would prefer an experienced cat home, where she can rule with an iron paw, without other animals as she wants to have all the attention. Jezabelle is spayed and has her shots.

Licorice

is a 2 year old Dutch rabbit with beautiful glossy black fur. She is a shy, petite girl and litter box trained. Licorice was turned in to the County and when she ran out of time she came to the Ark. Rexy

Darling Rexy is Lab mix, about 2 years old and full of energy. She is a spirited girl that would make a great addition to an active, experienced dog home. She will do best in a home with dogs her size or bigger as she wants to chase the little ones. No cats for this girl. Her forever family will need to be ready to take her to training as she responds well to positive reinforcement and will need to learn to be part of new pack. is a young male Staffordshire Terrier, still very puppy-like. He is just a great boy, a favorite of everyone, and he doesn’t understand why he hasn’t met his human, and neither do we! Eager to please, his antics will make you smile time and again. He is a VERY sweet boy, LOTS of energy, takes treats with a gentle mouth, and rides quietly in the car.
